We believe and confess that the Holy Scriptures, the canonical books of the Old and New Testament are the inspired and inerrant Word of God, as they were originally given, revealed for the salvation of men, and therefore in union with Baptism and the Lord's Supper are the only source and rule of faith, doctrine, and life in the congregation.
     We accept and adhere to the Apostolic, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, and in addition thereto, the unaltered Augsburg Confession and Luther's Small Catechism as true witnesses to the Gospel. We accept The Apology of the Augsburg Confession, The Smalcald Articles, Luther's Large Catechism, and The Formula of Concord, as further valid interpretations of the confession of the Church.
